Solid Women Don't Crumble !
Queen, this past weekend was my birthday. It consisted of the usual 12 am phone calls, long paragraph text messages and instagram posts. But the one thing each and every post had in common was the compliment of how strong I was. I found that compelling not because I don't think that I am strong but because no matter what I go through good or bad, I'm still able to radiate strength. And then it hit me, being strong does not mean you have to be happy 24/7 or coming up with outrageous solutions for situations that quite honestly may not be fixable or worthy of your attention. Being strong means so much more than what meets the eye. Queen, I need you to understand that you are still strong at your lowest, even if you don't see it. So imagine what a force you would be if you pinned yourself as strong no matter what your circumstance was. Think about it queen, when we "fail", when we fall, mess up or things just don't work out, its because we tried, YOU TRIED. People who don't fall are people who don't try and trying my queen is half the battle. When something doesn't work out, you haven't failed queen, you have just hit a point in life where you have to take another route. But here's the secret, this time will be better, maybe not perfect but better because you have already tried time and time again and you know what you want and don't want. And guess what queen? In the mist of everything you are
still strong, Being strong doesn't mean that you have to pretend to not feel and act nonchalant like nothing matters. Being careless doesn't make problems go away, doesn't signify strength and it is a quick way to lose any and everyone who actually cares about you. You can care and still be strong. You can love and still be strong. You can cry and still be strong. Queen, promise me something. Promise me that you will never let someone make you feel like you can't be strong, never let life get you to a place where you feel like in order to be strong you have to be emotionless. "Emotionless strength" is no strength at all, it's called being in denial and you my queen are too
smart, too
strong and too
beautiful for that. Believing that you can be strong, no matter the circumstance, gives you a solid foundation I like to call
self-love. And guess what queen, solid women NEVER crumble.
Stay strong!
