#DearWoman This is for your heart!
Hey Queens, I recently finished #DearWoman by Mike Reid and I must admit, I'm sooooo sad. This book is so special. It opened my eyes to parts of myself that I hadn't discovered, good and bad. If you are on this journey with me queen, and I mean
really on this journey with me, please read this book. I share this with you because I want to impart on you the parts of this book that have really touched me, in hopes that it will touch you too. It would take days to really delve into the significance of these pages, but I thought that if I share at least one page that really captures the essence of our journey then that would make all of the difference. The page I posted for you is one of the post popular. Queen these words translate not only in your relationships but in your life as a whole. Sometimes life can make you feel like you are too much. And what's frustrating is that the things they claim you are too much of, are things that you cannot help, things that make you who you are as a woman. Queen, I know I ask a lot of you, from promises to big decisions and I'm sorry, but just know that we're in this together. I won't ask anything of you that I'm not living by myself. If there is anything that you take from my posts, I hope in some way shape or form it revolves around loving yourself unconditionally and not letting anyone or anything make you feel like you don't deserve the world, because you do. Now that we've established that we can move on. Queen, there isn't anything fabulous or enlightening about belittling who you are just to make the uncomfortable comfortable. There is nothing wrong w/ having standards as high as the sun and a heart that measures even bigger. It's okay to have days where you get frustrated because it feels like you put so much into life only to get so little in return. Those days will happen and you are more than entitled to the way that you feel. These feelings though queen, only become a problem when you act on them. So when these days come, vent to someone, write it down, maybe even take time for yourself but do me a favor and
never change. You were given this heart, these goals and your dreams for a reason. In regards to people understand that some peoples role in your life ends where your standards begin. That doesn't reflect anything bad on you it just means that maybe that wasn't a part of your story. But queen believe me when I say that the 4 or 5 people who consistently stick with you through good and bad will be the most
amazing people you have ever met and I promise you, you will get to a point where you can't imagine your life w/o them. So take a deep breath queen, get up, get dressed and dive into your day with no regrets. Keep your crown on at all times. In the words of Mike Reid "That crown is your price tag. Your protection. Make room for it in every picture" You were born with your crown for a reason, nothing or no one is worth taking it off. You earned it. I'm to the next chapter in my journey and I'm so excited for us to embark on it together. I'm not sure exactly where you are in your growth queen but I'm happy that you are
willing to try. I have to warn you, it won't always be easy, but I
promise you, it will be worth it. We are in this together. Never give up and as always
Stay Strong!
